Our Tips for Success
When it comes to succeeding in school, there are some important things to think about and practice to make sure you can stay focused, not get overwhelmed, and ensure you are actually learning new material.

The first tip that we have is to set a goal. This is so important for making sure that you can stay focused in class or when you're studying. If you have set a goal like getting a B+ or better on your next quiz, or finishing your math homework by 5 pm, you have a goal to achieve, rather than just a load of work you don't know where to start with. We hope that you implement this in our sessions by having a goal of what you want to learn from it, so we can help ensure that you get the most out of our sessions.

Our next tip is to spend time not doing just schoolwork. Yep, to get better grades, you need to be able to spend time not doing schoolwork. Of course, this doesn't mean I'm saying go play video games all day, and you will pass every test. What we mean is you should be able to take a break from your school work every once in a while and go work out, hang out with friends, play an instrument or sport, or go outdoors. Our brains can only learn so much at a time, so we need to give them a rest for a bit and take them away from school to ensure we stay balanced in our lives. If you stay too focused on school all the time, you will feel overwhelmed with work, and you may begin to stop progressing in school.

Lastly, our final tip, and what I think is the most important, is that you need to ask questions. Even if it seems simple, ask it, even if it seems too complex, ask it, even if you think you may know the answer, ask it. The point of learning is to understand something and gain knowledge, not learn 80% of it and not know the rest. We strongly, strongly encourage you to ask questions about anything in your class and our sessions so you learn more. This is going to help you succeed much more than you know, and we hope you start to implement it in our sessions.
About Me
Hi, my name is Hudson, and I am currently a junior at LCC High School. I have been a tutor at my middle school as well as an online tutor for about a year now, but I want to take my skills a step further. Before I tell you about ADVNCD tutoring and why it is guaranteed to benefit you, I want to tell you a bit about me. I have three older siblings and am the youngest of my family. In my free time, outside of academics, I really enjoy being in nature, hiking, and backpacking. To stay healthy, I lift weights, play lacrosse, ski, skateboard, and play golf. One of my favorite things about being a tutor is being able to help others with what I am passionate about. I am a very well-rounded student who knows how to take school seriously while still managing time to work out, play sports, and socialize. I currently have a 5.0 GPA, am taking all AP courses this year, am in accelerated math and science classes, studied quantum physics at Harvard over the summer, and scored a 5 on my AP Physics 1 exam.
